Introduction to Sound (Pre-K Class)
Session A: Fridays 2pm / September 12 - October 17
Session B: Thursdays 10am / October 9 - November 13
For ages 2-5 with a grown-up. This course serves as a perfect preparation for formal private lessons (which are not recommended until age 6), or simply the beginning of a life-long relationship with music. This is a 50 minute class that runs for 6 weeks.
Introduction to Sound gives children a new form of communication through the understanding of sound, while using music as a medium to solidify other learning topics such as counting, colors, mind-body connection, and emotional awareness. Through aural, visual, and kinesthetic channels, we celebrate the differences in our learning preferences to make music accessible for everyone.
Based on brain science and taking elements from both the Orff Schulwerk and Kodály teaching philosophies, this course is intentionally designed and serves as one of the only non-corporate options of its kind.
